The Danish Heritage Cultural Center is a Museum in Danevang, Texas. The Museum, which is operated by the Danish Heritage Society of Texas, feaures a permanent exhibit about the Danish Settlement in Danevang and changing exhibits with Danish and Scandinavian themes. Turn left (South) on HWY 71 and proceed 9 miles to Danevang. The Church and Museum are on the left when you reach Danevang For the time being, the museum will be open every Sunday from 1 until 4 pm and by special arrangements for groups of 8 or more. If you know any groups who will want to have a tour of the museum, special arrangements can be made by contacting the following:

Did you know that there are two Danish American Newspapers in the US? The oldest paper is "The Danish Pioneer" which have been published since 1872. The Pioneer now has a website through which you can find information about the paper, it's history, how to subscribe, etc.. It also have some very useful links, f. ex. to the Danish Club of Houston. The other Danish American paper is "Bien". Information about it can be found on http://www.solvangca.com/html/index2.htm
